Often there are problems of broken soldiers or other items after the shipping ( recently I read about TG). All manufacturers use different kinds of "foam" which is elastic but also too much elastic sometimes!!

In my opinion it would be better they use " double plastic packing" like Del prado. The first rigid plastic can be deformed, but the second one keep protecting the item....

And it is much "ecological": the actual packages are very expensive, often unuseful, and very pollutants!!!!!{sm2}

The only think I don't like about some of these types of packaging is that on some you have the twisty wire wrapped around the figures. That has caused a lot of paint damage on LAH parade troops that I have seen so, while they seem better for figures I still prefer the soft foam overall for figures etc. I have not had a broken troop in soft foam from any manufacturer

Personally i would like to see everything wrapped up in cotton wool but then that would probably be un-economical!

I agree with you about the "twisty wire wrapped" which is really bad; but I have here an item by "hobby and work" ( an italian press company producing sometimes toysoldiers), with a double plastic protection without wire. The second closer protection is well shaped around the soldiers so that it doesn' t need a wire to keep it more stable.
