I am considering getting the Real West line, but have been held back by the skin tone on the production figures.

The K&C literature and release photos shows a beautiful warm skin tone on the Indians, while the "production" figure as you hold them in your hand offer a dull dark brown, similar to the Conte Roger Ranger releases. To me, these two colors are worlds apart, not even close. Not anywhere in the same ballpark. The problem is I really like the "photo color", while loathing the "production" color.

I saw a very similar contrast when comparing Conte indian advertizements with their actual figures.

The sculpting and figures are outstanding except for this one aspect.

Any explanation for what I am seeing?

None except as we have recently discussed and, its quite true promo pictures do not do the releases the service they do on many occasions. I have seen the TRW figures and thought the facial tones were what we have come to expect from K&C. You could always buy one as a sampler to check yourself but, take the leap I am sure you will be pleased you did
