I agree. i got the Chaffee Winter version and it's one of K&C's best tanks. Great detail and quite a weighty piece.

I got a good few of the Chaffees (only fair after bleating for so long for them ). They're the best yet IMO (although I have to confess to being slightly biaised).

I'll tell you one thing about a thread like this, it makes me look at these models again when I wouldn't have otherwise. Love the Chaffee. Were they in the opening scene in the movie, "Bridge at Remagen", where they're racing toward a bridge? I believe they were also in the "Battle of Bulge" movie with Telly Salvalas. The Panther's okay, I would buy it if I didn't have it.

Yes, "Bridge At Remagen" used Austrian Army M24s, plus M8 armored cars, halftracks, etc. Spanish Army M24s stood in for Shermans in the "Battle of the Bulge". French Army M24s were modified to look like Panthers for "Is Paris Burning?"

The Chaffee is very definately A list celeb material where it comes to Hollywood. ;)

Tellys was blown apart and still running quite nicely

I actually bought one of each - I guess I was drinking that WWII Kool Aide that day :D

Both were shipped with any breakage - Thanks Treefrog ! :)
