I didn't have a Panther for summer use so before HB shut down production I asked Ana if she could produce a "Gold" Panther based on their original molds with a custom paint job. Here is the result of that request:

PzKpfw Panther (7,5cm Kw.K.42 L/70) (Sd.Kfz.171) Ausf.A

That camo scheme looks even better in your photos Frank. Nice piece.

Frank,
Thanks for sharing, what a beautiful tank to have, good for you.

Loius had started a drive to see what we could do to get HB back in the tank business, too bad nothing has come of it. They do stunning work, works of art really and I fully understand that with the worldwide economy in the tank at the moment, their prices are off the charts; that said, it's a crying shame they aren't producing tanks anymore. One can only imagine a Mark IV with turret and side skirt armour, a Cromwell, a JS II, etc, etc.

Kudos to all of you who were able to get tanks from them for your collections and thanks to the HB team for providing them, my favorite of all time was the Tiger, just can't get enough of the Tiger I IMO..........

George,

Maybe when the economy rebounds we can get enough interest to make it worth the Donzino's while to bring back these wonderful tanks . . . :D;)

Frank, How are the scale sizes on thoses 2-KC figures in your diorama. Is the scale acceptable or on the small side? I was thinking about buying that set, but I read on another thread that the scale was small. The figure not shown in your diorama, crouching and carrying the ammo can, looks small. Also do you recommend buying that set?

I am very happy with this set.

When you start comparing bent over and crouching figures it always gets tricky. To me the scale is fine but I have a higher tolerance for size variation than some.

I've included some comparison photos with a few other figures. Out of all of these the one that looks totally out of scale is the crouching Fall of Berlin figure with the PPSh41 (he looks far too big)

VERY nice Panther ! My HB Winter Panther is one of my favorite tanks. I only wish I'd gotten the winter repair/recovery vehicle to go with it.

So does Treefrog right here:confused:

Whoops, my bad. Thinking of another version Definetly confused :0

Thanks Repo Man, I figured they'd all been swooped up by now. Gonna have to save some post-holiday pennies before they vanish.
