I recieved K&C's Paratroopers for Christmas and they are great. I have just one question though and that is the color of the chutes? Are they not suppose to be white? Mine are a very light green. Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge, they are supposed to be white. Maybe you could get in contact with the dealer who sold it.

Depends on the direction of your question?

they are made by K&C in green! but are you asking were they white in WWII?

That one i will have to look at. But knowing Andy and the amount of research that he does o am sure they will be close to the real mark.

So your parachutes are the right K&C colour

I would hate to drop in behind enemy lines with a bright white chute.

Actually I believe on D-Day they were white, and by Market Garden they were Camo. I've never seen a solid green chute, but that doesn't mean it didn't exist. The Brits used a shade of green/brown I think.

It seems to me that K&C colours aren't always accurate. However they are always aesthetically pleasing! My favourite inaccuracy is the Afrika Korps fallschirmjager. Their camo is complete fantasy but it looks darn good.

I do get kind of bugged by some of the K&C SS troops wearing wehrmacht reversible splinter camo. The SS had ther own winter reversible camo patterns. Sure it did happen but it would have been infrequent.

I find the colours of the Berlin range of Germans particularly off. The camo is far too bright yellow based. For marsh pattern it would be far more subdued.
