Here is a diorama I have been working on.
Note that the paratrooper leaning in to see the map has no rifle, a side-effect of the unorganized pilots that flew fast and low, resulting in the loss of equipment from the British "leg bag" concept.

Nice little set up you've created there. Tells the story very well.

Yep, Britains Sieze the Day Art of War set. It isn't available anymore, and I just got lucky on ebay, but I did see a set at OSTN........:D;)

I picked these up recently but wasn't sure who had made them, guessed they were britains but couldn't find them in the treefrog archive of britains catalogues..guess I wasn't looking under an "art of war catalogue", mine are different with cammo jackets:) Really like the map guy:cool:

Many times I think the small dioramas turn out to be the best looking ones. Great job - very, very nicely done.

I think you are short one man; the one with the Thompson standing up.

You're right..I'm missing that one...., I found them on display in a shop while on holidays 6 weeks ago, they had no box....and they were together with other britain sets from the WWII series...including two old K&C arnhem figures, which got sold to me all together:D I'll post some other pics of the other figures when I get a chance:) Also picked up the britains pac40 and 88..nice pieces

COL-H,

Very nice small dio, what is the size of the figurines?

Rod.

Thanks for joining in Col. Hessler with your Diorama and very nicely done and thanks redhugh for highlighting the figures with your photo....The Lt.

That is a terrific diorama which tells an entire story in a small amount of space. Very well thought out and executed.
