Pardon the Interruption

Let me preface this by saying that I do not collect Black Hawk, nor do I collect the Old West from any manufacturer. I finally saw some of the Indian line from Black Hawk at Sierra Toy Soldier in Los Gatos yesterday.

With that said, I have to say that FW-0209, entitled “Buffalo Hunt” might be one of the best toy soldier pieces I have ever seen. The action, the sculpting, the paint and the overall delivery is spectacular. The premise alone is incredible let alone the transference of the idea into such an action packed piece. I was literally amazed until I heard the price. I was ready for a pretty big number, after all, quality of design like that can’t be cheap. I was way off in my estimate too. $99? That can’t be right? I was expecting at least 3 to 4 times that.

In my opinion, this entry is not only one of the top pieces in the market, it is the absolute best value in the toy soldier world.

Again, sorry for the interruption.

Hi Jason,

that is a very strong statement from a knowledgeable Toy Soldier collector, and much appreciated.
I have several of the Black Hawk "Cowboys" and "Indians" sets on my list for an eye-to-eye examination when in Chicago next week, and your statement here just raised my interest a couple notches ^&grin

Thanks for the comment.

Konrad:

Sorry for the delayed post.

Thanks for the kind words.

Did you get to check out any of the Black Hawk pieces in Chicago?
