A few weeks ago I received the new War Park Whitmann Tiger Tank (AX018) and crew figure set (AX018A) and they are very nice! I’d been on the fence initially about getting these sets, but I’m glad I did. They make for a ready-made display featuring incredibly detailed figures with individualized detailing, and of course, War Park’s excellent Tiger Tank model. I’m not a fan of the Whitmann figure giving the Nazi Salute, but it is historically-accurate based on one of the propaganda photos of Piper’s review (copy of actual photo provided below). I’ve included some pics of my display below. Enjoy!

Historical photograph on with the War Park sets are based showing Piper’s reviews of Michael Whitmann and his crew in January 1944 on the Eastern Front.

I just got this set, very nice it is. What figures and manufacturer's are the others in your diorama?

Thanks!

1970LT1, the other figures in the set are all earlier War Park “Kharkov” series figures, including KH001, KH002, KH003, KH031, and KH068. I don’t think these have all sold out yet and can still be found at some retailers. Hope this helps!

Great piece, Tman. War Park did a really nice job with this Tiger, and as always, your display looks great. Impressive figures as well.

Thanks WesternOutlaw! War Park did indeed do a nice job with this set (though part of me wishes they’d modeled one of the other photos where Whitman was not giving the Nazi salute!) Nevertheless, the scene is accurate and the crew figures even have individualized faces, badges/uniforms, and different heights!
