High,
I happened to be in London in 1992 during a weekend break from the Joint Warfare Course in the UK. I attended the London Toy Soldier Show and was made member of the Britain Collectors Club by Lyn Kenwood, the owner of MKL and the Guards Toy Soldier Centre at Wellington Barracks. When the club started the Queen Victoria's presenting the State Colour I was deployed to Bosnia and later to Kosovo. I could still buy the sets and receive them through the British Forces Post Office (BFPO). So, I consider myself lucky to have been made member and despite deployments could continue our fantastic hobby. Some sets are still available from MKL and eBay!
Kind regards,
Peter
High Brendan,
I have 2041 old and new Britain's (including some copies) and 2055 Britain's Ceremonial (including Britain's conversions and RP World Models from Bob Prati who used to work for Britain's). Why do I know this so precise? My children do not share my hobby. So, when I'm no longer among the living they will sell my entire collection. In order to help them I have catalogued all my collections and photographed all sets. The photos are in hard copy photo books per collection. As you may understand I do not collect only Britain's but most manufactures of gloss toy soldiers scale 1/32.
Kind regards,
Peter
