Photo Catalog - Imperial Productions (3 Viewers)

You're right about the Marines set. I will post a few more pics of that one. Not sure why it came out so small compared with the others.

D

Drum,

Know you're busy, but hope you can post photos of the Town & Around and Nap sets. Sure the gang would enjoy seeing those in your Treefrog Imperial catalog.

Dan

Yo Troopers, does anyone IE, Dan, Drum, Rob want to save the Imperial Cavalry photo's I have in my albums. I am going to delete them. I have a lot more of my own to put in the albums. Think you should save them save you seaching through all the post to find them. I will leave them another two days.
Bernard.

Drum,

I'm sure you have a full plate, but we would love to see the rest of the photos in the catalog when you have time (e.g., Town & Around, Naps)

Dan

Thank you very much for all the hard work of cataloging all those images. It is a very good reference. Perhaps we should try and discuss some sort of work like the K and C book which Louis and Kevin produced but aimed at glossy figures. WB have an excellent historian in Mr Joplin, but some of the other glossy manufactures from the last thirty years deserve their own book. Perhaps combing several manufacturers in one book (Trophy, Imperial, Little Legion, Steadfast, King Cast etc) maybe the way to go.
Once again thank you for the superb galleries you have posted.

Hey guys,
I am back after an amazingly traumatic computer meltdown.
Fortunately, I have a very competent pal who was able to save every single one of my Imperial shots (which number well over 10,000!) from my farked hard drive.

So.... I will get back on the stick and download some more this week. I promise.

;)

Wondered were you had got to Drum and glad to hear all is well and that your files were able to be saved. Looking forward to more of your great sets.

Yo Drum, that was lucky mate would have been a big loss, get them on disc mate no problem then. Must have a look at the old Toy Soldier auction, takes a while to download, but looks like some very early sets of Imperial going.

That was a very interesting link to those auctions. Thanks.

Man! Those folks at Britains sure made a few different sets, didn't they?

To answer questions about the new storage set up. I now have a dedicated server to hold all my data. It consists of serialized hard drives which duplicate each other and which can be removed and replaced every so often as their lifespans decline. I am much more confident in this system now.

As for CDrom's, I did back up once, about halfway through and I found that it took forever to fill such discs with my pics. As it were, I had about ten cd's at the halfway point and so it seems like dedicated hard drives are the way for me to go.

As this week got shot out by various unexpected duties, I will try to get some new pics up this weekend.

Cheers,
D

Yes! I have also noticed half sets coming on auction with the mysterious other halves joining them in the following weeks - all at profit.

In one mind - good for the seller
In the other mind - please stop doing it!!!!

Sorry for the delays guys.

Work heated up a bit more than I wanted this month and I have simply been too lazy to do much online at the end of my day.

I will be better.

Drum,

Hope all is well. Sure you're probably busy, but would be cool to see the rest of the photos cataloging the remainder of the collection. I sure hope David makes more sets in the next year.

The Imperial thread is just dead. What is new with folks? I'm hoping Cowe makes some new sets in the coming months. Post some pictures, start a new discussion thread.

Dan

I have recently received some new Nap sets and placed a new order. I plan to post some photos of my Imperial sets till the weekend. Thanks for spurring me into action:D.

Cheers,
Paulo

It will be great to see some shots Paulo , Dan I,m hoping we see something new also but i,ve no idea if their is anything in the works or not.
I,d love to see a gun team at the gallop for the naps or crimean as I think it
would look superb , [although thats purely a pie in the sky wish ] .

Their seems to be a good flow of stuff coming through ebay at present,
I,m still keeping my eye out for the secound heirloom set but have not
seen it for some time.

Hey all,

I recently completed my Napoleonic collection (took me a while...). There are some beautiful calvary pieces which came out not long ago, currasiers and chaveu-legger lancers, etc.

I'm reallllly hoping for a 95th rifles set, I think it would really put the icing on the cake for the Napoleonic Range.

I will have to give the Cowies a ring this week and pass on the forums regards, and hopefully get any hints/indications of the near future :)

Cheers all,

Nathan
