A GI "shutterbug" from Yank: The Army Weekly grabs a quick shot of General James Gavin (82nd Airborne) as he salutes General Omar Bradley at an airfield somewhere in England during the days just prior to Operation Overlord.

Neat Photo. But where did the airplane come from?

Terry

Glad you liked it.

About 10,000 C-47s were made in Long Beach and Santa Monica, California and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. :D Seriously it's a photo from the web.

I just got the recently retired Gavin and At Attention figures today.

Great photo Randy. I have a 1:72 scale model of that plane that I hope to get around to building. My granddad flew one during the war so your pic is a nice momento :) Sadly he passed away 20years ago next month.

Randy,
First Rate! I actually like the color one better...Remind me of The World at War Series.

Great photo and figure Randy. That figure of Bradley looks like a must have. John
