Made my first trip to the annual Birmingham Toy Soldier Fair today.
Another first for me - accompanied for the very first time to a Toy soldier show by my good lady wife ^&grin

Held at the Edgbaston Stadium - the Warwickshire County Cricket ground.

A very nice venue and well attended show. In through the entrance door - a corridor with tables to the right (very cold today!) that had a view onto the cricket pitch.
To the left the main hall (nice and warm!) with lots of varied tables. Loads of plastics - amazed at how many Conte sets available. Very tempted but just picked up my
Sept and Oct. JJD orders from Grey Goose Collectables. I saw for myself the new First Legion Vikings - they really are excellent figures.

All in all, well worth the 2hours 20 minutes or so trip up from Essex - (mind you, that was on a good day.....)

Would heartily recommend the Show - won't be my last visit!

Hi Old Bill,
Any idea what company makes the display cabinets and boxes in this batch of photos. Any information you might have would be helpful as I need to acquire a display case/boxes to fit into very limited space.
Many thanks

Great photos Roy !

I see a Conte set, in the last photo from this post, that I looked all over Chicago for...no luck.

Thank you for posting all these.

Roy,

thanks for the images from the show, its great for us around the world who don't have any shows close by to see what's going on and the range of figures for sale.

Well done,

John

Thanks for the great photos!^&cool^&cool I really loved the photos of Clive and Sue Gande.:smile2:

Thank you gents for all your very kind comments. It was a pleasure to post the pics.
It is a good show that I feel deserves a little more recognition.

Cheers,

Roy

Hi Martin,

Very sorry - I did not see any signage indicating the makers name while we were there.
They caught my eye as they were extremely nice cabinets in many sizes and were I thought, reasonably priced.
All I can suggest is contacting the Birmingham Toy Soldier Fair 2016 site - they may be able to help.
There is a telephone No and email link under the View Exhibitors button on the main page.

Hope that might help.........Cheers,

Roy

Roy,
The picture with the lady from Loggerheads shows a very large Confederate. Is that a kit or did she scratch build it as never seen one that big before. Does not look like an action figure that are usually smaller.

Hi,

It was definitely a "solid" figure, I think they produce them - very impressive too!
You can get details on their website:

Cheers

Thank you for taking and posting the photos from the Show Roy!
