I've flown too close to the sun! Finishing the cockpit of the DC-6 from Plan 9, in Ed Woodian style! Actually co-piloted a DC-6 once, and it pains me to build such a inaccurate cockpit, even if its spot on accurate of the movie.

(death trap, BTW. DC-6 is the opposite of the DC-3 in every aspect, especially air worthiness. The one I flew in 1985 ended up killing a bunch of people. Had a chance to fly to Haiti in another one in 2009, and opted for a 1942 C-47 from Market Garden that was retired from the SADF) Anyway, the DC-6 was the DC-9 Lawn Dart before they invented the DC-9.

I should be done, and post pics, before the end of the Free Shoes B-Ball game!

You're doing an awesome job; makes me want to break out my DVD of "Plan 9" and see it again and order the "Crab Monsters." I don't think I've seen it since I was a teenager.

Of course I'll have to wait until my wife turns in for the night; she just doesn't get the charm of great poorly made Sci-Fi movies...
