Of all the WWII vets, I particularly admire the Tuskegee Airmen. They served this country with great distinction, despite the fact that they were treated as second class citizens. The world is a lesser place for his passing.
 
Given the prejudices this brave man endured he had to be twice as good to become the accomplished airmen he became.

The Tuskegee airmen never lost a bomber they escorted.
