Planes we like but won't get made ... probably! (1 Viewer)

Given that Thomas Gunn has taken some of the fun out of discussing what planes should be made by being prepared (and able!), it would seem, to make whatever collectors have a hankering for, I thought it might be interesting to name a few aircraft that we would love to see made but probably won't. Here are two of my favourites. The first is the de Havilland DH.88 Comet, a twin-engined aircraft designed for the 1934 MacRobertson Air Race. This is one of my all time favourites. It still looks modern. The second is the Boulton Paul P.75 Overstrand, the last of the twin-engine biplane medium bombers to serve with the RAF. The photograph is from a model aeroplane book I have kept from childhood.

Definitely in the realm of 'never happen but would be cool'.................Zeppelin Staaken R.VI (Staaken 39/16)

Contact TGM mate you never know :wink2:

I doubt it mate, it's to big and complex and would arrive in pieces! Probably would also cost an arm and a leg! Nice thought just the same.

The Comet is a possibility - but probably more likely from JJD.
No chance of a Zeppelin but a Gotha is in the works and will be making an appearance very soon.

I stand corrected! Wow, it'll be a sight to see, well done TG for making this big bird.

I have a 1/32nd scale Gotha kit from Wingnuts. It is a big plane so whoever does your packing better be good at his job!
