I wish everyone a Happy New Year and I hope you all had a good Christmas. I want to share my plans for the coming year ahead. The next soldiers to be released will be Napoleons imperial Dragoons which hopefully should be available in March, there will be 5 of these coming.

Next I have a brand new range coming. to my knowledge I dont think anyone has done this range before in matt atleast. I have seen the odd kit or a bust from this war but that is it, maybe it has been covered in gloss. there is a good chance it has been covered by some of the British Gloss Companies as its a British colonial war. The sculpts are nearly ready so as soon as they are painted I will show them on here.

Also there will be another standard bearer for the 43rd foot, the regimental colours.

Still on the Peninsular War I will be adding more to the "after the battle" range where we are depicting the moments after the battle of Barrossa has ended and the soldier are taking stock of what has just happened and admiring the captured French Eagle or having a drink or a smoke or scavenging from the dead or looting the prisoners. So there will be a few more soldiers and an officer from the 87th foot and then a few soldiers from one of the guards regiment.

And that is it for the moment. I am releasing things slowly as Cold Steel is a new company and everything is down to sales. Thanks to everyone who has bought any of my figures and thanks to the few retailers who are helping me get the business off the ground.

I wish you all a happy new year.

WOW, that sounds like you will making something that no one else is making, but is being called for by collectors.

Looking forward to seeing them this year :)

Good luck. It's not easy coming up with something different, that will sell.
If I can help with references just give me a shout.

Thanks Martin I may take you up on it one day. I am very fortunate in have a TS shop I get to meet all manner of people and there is a very knowledgeable collector who has helped me out loads with these. I have always been a napoleonic man so I didn't know a greàt deal about the British Empire wars and it's been great reading up on them.

I didn't realise how luck us Napoleonic collectors are with a huge supply of material to study compared to some of the early Victorian Wars, it can be quite difficult to piece it all together.

I have looked in on there a few times and found some good information there, although I have not joined it yet. I will join it once I get the first figures out. It has got a small section on the war I will cover.
Like you said earlier its going to be really difficult to cover a war that has not been covered and actually make it a success. Saying that though this war has a lot to offer personality figures all of them learnt their trade under the duke in the peninsular war and Waterloo, British infantry overcoming overwhelming odds, a huge butchers bill on both sides, individual heroism, a brave disciplined foe that fought til the death.

I'd better stop now I don't want to give the game away.

Thanks Johnboy I am really glad you like them. If I remember correctly it was the officer that you had your eye on. I will definetly have them for the next show even if I have to airfreight half a dozen of each just to make sure I have them for London.
