I was wondering what everyone was planning to do over the holiday vacation. I have ordered movies I have never seen:

  1. The Battle of the Bulge
  2. Lawrence of Arabia (Saw 15 min.)
  3. Baatan (Saw 15 minutes)
  4. The Dirty Dozen (Saw ending)
  5. Zulu Dawn (Watched last scenes)
  6. Horatio Hornblower
  7. Major Dundee (Seen 30 min.)
Don't be to critical on me, can't blame someone born in the last decade of the previous century.

Merry Holidays!

Hi Lewey - got some good shows there. Would suggest that you try to get the restored directors cut of Dundee. It is a better version than the theatrical release. Have fun watching. -- lancer

I am just hoping their arent to many scratches, as I am renting them from the library, I did forget to mention indulging in much chocolate and working on my Man Cave down stairs

I'll be drivin to see the family in Savannah, Georgia. The food is great in Savannah so I plan on stuffing myself silly. As far as movies go...I really want to see the new one with Daniel Craig about the 3 Jewish Brother guerrilla fighters.

I will be going by my brother's house on Christmas eve and then over to the folks on Christmas Day. I will be eating way to much, maybe I will take a double dose of Crestor. Hopefully, there will be some toy soldiers under the Christmas Tree.

Christmas at home with just my wife and kids for a change! No travel and no airports to deal with! I think you have picked out some fantastic movies and I am sure you will enjoy them!

Merry Christmas To All!

Christmas will be the family holiday (per our tradition). We are the grandparents so everyone comes over here. We do church on Christmas eve and have the big "get together" on Christmas day. A large lunch with major over eating, then unwrap gifts, then watch the grandkids run around for a while. This year is my turn to be "on call" for the hospital over Christmas, so we'll see what life brings to change my plans at the last minute. (remember to drive safe and sober over the holidays - if not for yourself then for the sake of the trauma team that you'll drag out in the middle of the holiday!)

New Years' is my "selfish" holiday - things are quieter, we may or may not have company, but that is the day that I usually spend in the hobby room. I'm not a huge football fan but I put the little TV in the hobby room on to a bowl game or some movie for noise value and putter around on some projects. Instead of a big meal there is a parade of snacks and I enjoy freedom from shaving that day unless we have to go somewhere.

I hope everybody else on this fine forum has good plans and I wish everybody a Merry Christmas!

My girlfriend and I will be heading off to my parents house Christmas eve for some Chinese food (outstanding stuff from a local place that is top shelf in my book) and cracking open all of the presents.

Christmas day I go off to the local homeless shelter to volunteer with the serving of Christmas dinner; seeing these folks and what they go through on a day to day basis makes me stop and think about how blessed I am in life. From there, it's over to the parents again for a huge Christmas dinner; myself, my girlfriend, my parents and siblings (two brothers, two sisters, brother and sister in laws, numerous nieces and nephews) and several aunts and uncles.

From there, my girlfriend and I stop by a friend of ours house for a Christmas night party.

Perhaps my two favorite days of the entire year........

I also plan to attend church on Christmas Eve, and then a new family tradition of watching the Christmas Story,

Be careful with your new toy soldiers or they may shoot your eye out

That will be rough for you Dave. I saw them bringing home 3 men today on the news. That is also a sad affair even more so at this time of the year.

For me Xmas starts Saturday at the inlaws and then onto my brothers house. Xmas day will be a visit to my parents and then we will a bundle into the car to head out to my aunts for dinner.

I will be busting out the Festivus pole for the holidays this year. The first part of Frestivus is the "airing of grievances". Like I dont love that phrase. Actually me and Sara KGB are headed to Las Vegas to celebrate our 5th wedding aniversary.

Festivus for the rest of us

Happy Holidays

Rob:

Yeah dude Vegas should be sweet as long as the snow melts before I get there. That town must have a been an end of the world scene with how many people had to handle driving in snow there. Im not into roulette too much, Texas Holdem is more of my pace. Believe it or not the last two trips I made to Vegas I actually came home with more money then I left with. I'm not one of these people that claims that they win every time there because lets face it that doesnt happen. I've never had a bad time in Vegas though. Below are some pictures of a dog that I found outside of my office at work. I believe the motorcycle is a refurbished Soviet Army ride. Not too sure about that part as I'm certainly not an expert in that field.

Happy Holidays Dudes
