I have many Timpo figures and this type of problem is a huge concern of mine.
Although, I am not sure what I can do except to keep them out of direct sunlight.

You know, I considered not buying any plastics because of all this. However, as the article points out, it's not affecting all plastics in the short or longer term (those airfix figures are still soft and 35 years old). So I buy (and sometimes paint) what i like and see what happens.

But I have had my sleepless nights of worrying and thinking about the terrible fate plastics might suffer over time. I know your pain .

I am thinking of making resin or pewter casts of some of my older figures (Atlantic Pharaos court) hoping to preserve them forever. And the paint sticks better on those materials.
