Plastic Platoon has-ousted an update on The Islands range and photos of prototype US Marines.

The figures this company makes are incredible, BY FAR the nicest plastic figures ever made.

Too bad there wasn't a way to shrink them down and do all of them in 1/72nd scale, or better yet, in metal and have them individually painted and boxed.

They would sell like mad................................

I agreed. The detail is outstanding. I would love the opportunity to purchase individual figures as I would never paint an entire set. I especially like the series for Crete. Outstanding.

If I'm not mistaken, it's a company based in Russia, so I assume Russian sculptors?

If so, that explains a lot, ie, look no further than St. Petersburg/Aeroart figures....................

Those figures are completely off the charts, outstanding. If I had one minor quibble, I would like to see slings on the rifles. But otherwise these are all fantastic.

REALLY NICE figures, but they could use a little less "Hollywood". The Marines didn't rush into battle with their shirts off! The one guy even has a full "administrative" pack on and no shirt - moderately senseless! The weapons are beautiful sculpts. Interesting to see an M1897 shotgun, not common but they WERE there.

Neat figures, but a bit more homework might help instead of watching old movies.

Yeah..........anyway, these are tremendous figures, extremely well sculpted, nice, fluid poses, they should sell well in the plastic community..........................
