Just saw "Play Dirty" with Michael Caine, Nigel Greene, etc. for the first time the other day. I think it was made in 1968 and I don't know how I went all these years without seeing this entertaining Desert War movie. Sort of a LRDG type of movie. I was quite surprised at how good it was. Very good actors and some creative writing with the usual target in the Desert War, Rommel's fuel supply. Found the ending sort of cruddy and predictable but liked the movie overall. Anyone else got an opinion? -- Al

Excellent film. Unlike the final sacrifice which, I have just watched today. What a nightmare modern war films at its worst. If you have not seen it, your lucky, but, don't waste the hard earned cash

Like uksubs, I don't think I've ever seen this movie. Will keep an eye open for it now.
