So you have the Decurion, who will have years of service and training under his belt and presumably previous combat experience, but also has to control his horse with just this thighs when he has his shield in one hand and his Spatha sword in the other.

Where as our Queen of the Iceni here, seems to be quite steady and comfortable standing as she rides along in that chariot running at speed can concentrate on using her weapons to their best advantage and as Rob says, she does have the longer reach !

But a jolt to the chariot going over a stone say or any of the horses having a mishap....Mmmm, yep it's in the laps of the Gods. Let the Dice fly !{sm3}

Looking forward to John releasing the rest of these Roman Cavalry and hope he still has a few few more up his sleeves, plus of course a whole host of Iceni warriors, both foot and mounted. Hoping anyway !

Great scene Steve. I just got 3 of these, but didnt know they were decurions, i thought they were just troopers. Now i will have to buy more of the other troopers so the decurions have some one to lead

I had intended to buy mutiple ones of this pose myself, but fortunately magnified the promo photo before hand and spotted that.
Would of been nice to have had several troopers in this pose all the same, still you never know if anymore Roman Cavalry poses will follow after the next three poses are released, since there are already more than enough enemies for them to fight against, Gauls, Iceni, Germanic warriors !

I agree, hopefully we get a few more. Yes after i opened him i went back to check the box and it just says Roman auxillary cavalry.
