PM048 - Fighting Priest with axe (1 Viewer)

Just got mine today - I haven't opened it yet but will report back once I do

I don' t find that figure so special..The pose is nice, but the painting..A lot of colours but simply painted, no shades, and I wonder how historically correct.

I finally got around to unpacking my shipment. That photo that was posted above is a fair representation. He's a fairly simple figure but quite nice at the same time. My only issue with it is the axe doesn't go all the way through the hands and it's very wobbly bc of this. Certainly not something that will limit my enjoyment or stop me from buying if I didn't already have it

the original MK08's axe is a seperate piece also....which the owner inserts into his hands...and while it's a snug fit...that's a good thing...

I spoke to Andy a while back about creating some of the weapons seperately (this figure was made well before our chat)...as some of the Saracen's axes have a tendencey to bend...he mentioned that they were already aware of that issue and were trying to make most weapons removeable to hamper bending...

I prefer them seperate...

some companies...no names mentioned)...manke the weapons too small...too delicate...too fragile...

I know everyone here has experienced the metal stress a couple of hard bends can cause on a thin piece on a figure...after 3 or 4 bends...you can feel the integrity of the metal start to give...you can tell that a couple of more bends and it's gonna snap off...

so I prefer them seperate...it's a great idea in my opinion...

I prefer them separate as well. It's hard to describe...
it's an illusion that the axe goes all the way through his hands. The bottom of the axe is actually permanent and affixed to the hands while the top of the axe is a separate piece. The thing is that the part of the top of the axe that goes into his hands doesn't go in far enough so it's not anchored well and wobbles around and can easily fall out. I hope that makes sense.

And to VERY clear - not really an issue for me at all and doesn't make me dislike the figure. Just passing along what I see. I like the lil dude and am glad to have one

Zach...

I'm sorry...

I mistakenly referred to the original sculp as MK08...

it's actually MK068...

PM08 is a repaint of MK068...the same sculpt...

and again...yes...the original MK068 has the same removeable axe...

and like you...

I prefer the removeable weapon...
