I can understand why political content threads are deleted, but really, if it's meant to avoid discussions, I believe they can pop up at any time with any subject: favourite brands, football, who knows...
I really enjoy having a say and respect other's opinions as long as they respect mine, even if one can argue with passion. I like discussing politics and this chat lounge might be a place to do it. If people when discussing politics go overboard they would face consequences as with any other theme.
Just a suggestion, I understand the need for rules (though they can be changed) and thank the moderators and hosts for their work and this excellent forum.

While I understand where you are coming from I can see why this is not allowed. Religion and politics are the two most controversial topics and, as emotion can run high enough with toy soldiers and historical fact it would be a tinder box IMO

Hi Gents,

The topic of politics is not allowed because of the emotions that always rise up over it. Sorry but thats the rules here. As it is we have enough issues over Toy Soldiers and their makers to fill our quota of moderation so if you do feel the need to discuss this subject then it will need to be elsewhere.

Generally speaking we are all quite civilised on this forum. I read two different Aussie political forums (one left and one right) but don't post there.

Better to avoid it here.

S#x and R#ligion are most likely out as well. Funny that politics and the other two subjects cause wars that they make toys soldiers of.

I had a prof in college that maintained that s#x drove much of Brazilian history and made a pretty good case for it.
