Possible new FIW figures. Better than Jenkins? (1 Viewer)

I see that these figures are now for sale.There is a total of 8 so far,2 Frenchmen,3 Woodland indians,2 Rangers and an American frontiersman.They are $8 each but can buy the whole set for $50.They are 1/48 scale.The one drawback is that they are unpainted.I may get these to see how they are and get them painted at a later date.Does anybody know what the actual size would be?

It was only when I got to the most recent post that I realised this was an old thread. As I was reading through it I certainly had the feeling it was not in the right part of the forum.
Call me picky but this seems like it should be in the Chat Lounge area.

I recieved the 8 figures today.Very,Very fast service.The sculpts on these are very nice but the figures are smaller than I envisioned .I do like smaller figures for diorama purposes.They are on the slim side,no fatties here.Major drawbacks are of course being unpainted and they are in kit form.4 have heads on them but 4 don't plus having to add arms,weapons,etc..I get kits,54mm mostly which have parts but you can see and hold them better.You need steady hands and a keen eye (which I have neither )to get these little dudes into action.I will try to find someone who might want to tackle them and if I like them in their finished form I will get some more if any more are released.
