Post your repaint projects (KC, FOV, etc.) here (1 Viewer)

Alex:

Great job! I'll call that an M-10 in the buff! It looks more "muscular." The original was too white. Snow didn't stick too long after the snowfall and anything on the ground thereafter became muddy slush.

Carlos, looks like you're not shy about altering K&C creations to your own liking, good for you.:) Another masterful job, Alex.

N.P. the winter of 1944 was the coldest in Europe in 40 years, there was plenty of snow on the ground, probably made a lot of sense to American and German tankers to whitewash their vehicles, but then again, I like the white paint jobs.:D

Here are some pictures. Do you guys like this thread? I'm thinking there is just marginal interest. That's okay but I was just wondering since there seems to be limited participation.

Carlos

Carlos,

Heck, yes. I love seeing the work. I suspect one of the reasons there may be limited participation, is because hardly anybody else dare do what you're doing!

To see the vehicles and figures repainted and weathered to this sort of standard is brilliant to view. Unfortunately, I don't have the skill to do likewise and so leave them very much as they left the factory.

Please keep posting more as and when they're done.

Carlos, please keep 'em coming, dare to be different, after all it's your collection, not to mention that it's also your $. Those of us who appreciate your breaking from the pack nature won't let the K&C purists burn you at the stake... or are they still doing the hang, drawn and quartered bit.

Please do not stop. I have marginal weathering and painting skills ( Warhammer 40k vehicles )and I truly could not contribute anything to this thread in the way of WW2 efforts. I would not mind knowing what the cost of these painting conversions might be by the various artists and whether they would welcome commissions by anyone.........Michael

It's an interesting thread but I would never do this to the ones I own. Except for the Hummel, I prefer the way they were made.

I think your work is great and I would not hesitate to do the same with my own. there is nothing exceptional, sacred or untouchable about these toys, however your personal touch is exceptional because it is well done and unique. Keep up the eye opening work you do. I always enjoy a fresh eye on an already worthy item. I would love to see some of your work on the many variety of K&C figures as well.
Ray ;)

Sometimes you just gotta say what the *#@! and do it any way. I buy a lot of K&C and repaint them. Especially Del Prado figures. I have even chopped them up. and reconfigure them. If no one makes what you are after, what coice do you have?

I know the feeling, hey how about some pictures of some of your re-paints.

That would be cool,

Carlos
