Hi Guys,

Just for a little change from WW2... Here’s a preview of some "work-in-progress" Roman figures from “The Romans” series.

As you can see these two Legionnaires are looking after a pair of prisoners... If these guys are lucky (?) it’s life in the galleys or perhaps the Colisseum...
If they’re unlucky... Well, you can guess the rest!

All the best,
Andy

Love it ! When can we expect to have them?
I'm waiting barbarians for my Romans.

They look great and I can see I'll be adding them to my collection.
How about adding some prisoners in chains being taken off to the Emperors Triumph / Slave markets /Arena !

Many thanks to all of you guys for your appreciative words...We're also hard at work on quite a few other additions to "The Romans"... and some of their adversaries.
All the best,
Andy.

Wow! That is a very nice set. Different from the norm. Great job!

They remind me of the great work of Ron Embelton. a great fund of inspiration for future figures too !
Such as these:

Hi Steve,
Well noted! Ron Embleton has long been one of my favourite 'historical' illustrators and inspirations...I first saw his work in British children's comics of the late 1950's and 60's and later in other publications as diverse as 'Look & Learn'....'Finding Out'...and even 'Penthouse' (much later).
He was one of the reasons I specialised in 'Illustration' as well as 'Graphic Design' at Glasgow School of Art...A couple of years ago I was fortunate enough to buy some original artworks that Ron had done for 'Look & Learn'.
Many thanks for remembering this fine artist!
Best wishes and happy collecting,
Andy.

Hi Andy.
I remember reading Look and Learn as a kid and like you later, Penthouse !

Like to add another idea to mull over that might hopefully find a place on the list !
As you've done such a good job on the life of Jesus figures which are very useful as Middle East civvies and some can even be used for Northern Europe. How about adding to your Romans range some characters from the Book, Eagle of the Ninth such as Marcus with a crutch and again as the travelling Oculist. Esca as a Slave and perhaps mounted as a hunter. Uncle Aquila in toga, Cottia and Aunt Valeria more women and would add flavour as would some Caledonian tribesmen / Picts. Also how about some Legionaries / Civvies playing dice, sitting having a drink.

Hi Steve,
Good to hear from you again and thanks for sharing your thoughts and ideas, quite a few of which I share.
At this time K&C are focusing primarily on the Legionnaries themselves and their enemies however we do have a surprise or two in store down the line so keep watching this space!
Best wishes and happy collecting,
Andy.

They have a spot waiting for them on my Roman Galley. Either they row or they are overboard. Robin.

Everyone loves a surprise and these two sets look fantastic and could easily be used as stand alone sets on their own for display purpose's.:salute::
