Hi all

i got bitten by the proverbial bug again. I shld change my pest control regime hahahha

I picked out this galloping horse and decided to work more on it. Amazingly, I didn have other suitable spares to supplement it. Obviously my other projects were quite successful in using up the spares.

I placed an order for my figures. I’ll leave it up to yr sleuthing skills to figure out what this piece is all about.

My order for new figs just came in. Now busily sorting them out for conversions.

I decided to continue with my gimmick of foreshortening. I shortened the horse by a cm. Nobody else butchers a beautiful Historex horse like I do hahaha.

Added a shabraque and a headless fig. Reshaped the horse’s neck

Added more details to the main fig. I shortened the horse to emphasize the foreshortening. Here are three more horses being modified. These are numbered as I plan to add more….

The autonomically work on the horses are quite well done, especially incorporating existing parts from the spare parts container.

Now we are getting the first glimpses or what the figure will be, a Napoleonic Hussar wearing a shako and his dolman over his jacket?

Will he be a personality figure, that the big question ???

John

Hi John.

Dolman with pelisse
It might be closer than you realisse

Wicked Vic😗

So while I am waiting for the paint to dry on the FPW figs, my itching hands drifted over to this piece and I reworked the whole piece. I tk that the the second pix has the pose about right.

I think you are making the figures from "Charge of the 4th Hussars at the battle of Friedland, 14 June 1807 - Vive l'Empereur! "

This is magnificent painting that I have seen here in the Art Gallery of new South Wales in Sydney.

It is huge, 445.0 x 512.5 x 14.0 cm in the frame.

Looking forward to seeing this one completed, so keep up the good work,

John
