thanks as always for yr generous comments.
I’ve been very lucky with this. Meh sculpting n ptg but things just fall into place. Even the modelling of the gun was a complete surprise to me.
l hv completed the ptg and placed cotton smoke. Then added the lights and a mat frame and switched off the room light.
The results look pretty good to me. I’ll hv to widen the frame mat a little.

Hi All,

I saw another version of this ptg with warmer colours.
Hence I added a light red filter to warm up the scene. Added magnetic latches. Then added another red filter and took the final pics at night. That’s it for this piece. Hope y enjoyed the piece. It’s smaller than my previous Contemptibles diorama.

I finally attached a brass label to this piece.

I was asked to bring along a couple of my shadowboxes to the next modelling gathering. Funnily, I had not brought this piece before. So I took it out and decided to refurbish it.

There were two versions of this painting (a cooler and a warmer version) on the internet. The original piece was based on the cooler version and warmed with a red filter.

However, Ive decided to redo the actual piece in a warmer tone throughout and also improve on minor details here and there. I took out the stage from the box to work on it.

Hi John, Louis and Steve,

thx for yr kind remarks. Ive always felt that this piece was not truly finished. So here it is redone in the warmer version throughout. Ive dyed some more cottonwool for smoke which I will add later..

I tinted the piece in red and brown paint. Added a stronger red filter and tested the lights. Pretty good, eh?
