Found out recently, that Washi Tape does work rather well.

Hi Wolfgang,

Yes washi tape would be suitable for making harness.

I use metal strips as I have a lot of it and somehow, it feels more durable than paper.

I carved away the saddle blankets as it was well tucked under the saddles. I added the ropes. I used three different thickness of wires to represent the perspectives.

Did a bit more on the harness. Added chains and hooks. Really fiddly work

Just hitching up the chains on JJD horse teams is hard enough, but that looks very fiddly indeed Victor.
Keep at it, it'll all look superb when you've finished the project

The action poses and the excellent work on the harnesses and chains already look fantastic, no matter how fiddly the work as been!

Hi Steve and Louis,

Ive mng to complete the harnesses on the front two horses. Added thicker strips to represent the leather strips. Also added a whip. Really mind-boggling work. However, these bits and bobs do "fill out" a piece and makes them much more attractive, though.

And also completed harnessing the other 4 horses! This stage is not fun...But I now look fwd to painting the pieces.

Thanks. Hard work still ongoing. Ive started to pose the artillery horses on the base.

Adding more of the horses. Each horse has to be drilled and fixed into the base. The drill bit always catches the long grass and this patch has to be removed to fix the horse properly. So it does take time.

The above pix are just meh, right? The visual perspectives arent quite there, right? So I have to change the base orientation to achieve the good results.
This is the intended positioning but for some reason, the base wasn't right. I will have to redo the base a little to fit into the shadowbox.

Yep you're tight Victor, the perspectives, especially with photos are most important can make some mediocre look good and take something good to something special and vise verse !
And this last photo perspective is far superior to the previous !

So I had to cut up the base drastically to get the correct perspectives. Not for the faint-hearted modeller...hahaha.
