Heres a modest progress update. Some pt slapped onto the figs to reveal more necessary rework here and there.

Coming bk to this one. I decided to reshape the bkgd. Cut thru the sky and created wedges.

I removed most of the unattached figs to work on the main scene. Ptg the scene.

Repaired the wedges and replaced the bkgd into the box

Painted more of the scene and some of the figures.

I ptd the bkgd and also placed the ptd scene to test the colours.

Ptd some British figs. Developing the bkgd scene. The towers were detailed.

Test fitting a cutout frame for this scene. Without lights and with additional lights.
painted the French troops. Now adding more bkgd figs to the scene

I finished all the main bri figs. Added various details here and there.
planted a flag in the bkgd.

Posed the finished figs on the scene. Created fire and smoke. Adding a musket to a figure

Hi Louis.

finally some movement here. Got waylaid trying to do many box frames, refurbishing older figs and rescuing moribund pieces here and there. Busy busy….. finished the details on the 6 additional figs and have Att them permanently to the scene. Got another 6 more to add

now that I’m close to finishing my Omdurman piece, I excavated this piece from my debris. Checked that all the main elements are still intact, I took out the wip figs to continue their progress.

More work done. I fixed and added the mid grd figures to the scene. Also reshaped the two guys clambering up with a ladder.

Hi all.

I finished most of the work on the main scene. Just have to add a bkgd French soldier and a falling hat. Will also add a stone wall to block off the side panel. Notice how the open view shows the disparity in size of the lowest and highest figs.

Now to see what I can do abt the tiny figs in the bkgd

I’ll be using a mix of 1/72 and HO type figs including my early wargames figs to create the tiny bkgd figs.

i made some ladders and posed some wargames figs. Then tested the visuals.
