Finally got to see this, on cable. I generally liked the movie quite a bit and thought it an excellent piece of sci-fi. I was a little disappointed in that the movie was unable to surprise/shock me because the story line was a little too predictable. I felt like I knew what was coming next all the way through the movie. It fits as a prequel to the Alien franchise just great, answers a few things but leaves other questions in the air. Visuals were fantastic and creepy. I thought the synthetic human character to be the most interesting, but none of the characters got much developement, but that is not unusual for this type film. Overall an enjoyable show if only I hadn't had that 'been there, done that' feeling the whole time. -- Al

It turns out the initial report on the disk releases was misleading. Only the theatrical films are included and the cut scenes are provided seperately. I think that is a pity. It is also worth noting that nearly all of the better special features are only provided in the 3D version, which includes a 2D copy as well.

Just saw it when flying to China. Overall a good movie but I would say not to the level of Alien. I found the plot is a little bit convoluted and hard to believe especially time wise. On a side note I got a little dizzy during the graphic abortion scene but it was during dinner so this may be related to airplane food ^&grin
