Props for a St. Francis Village (1 Viewer)

I'm working on a St. Francis diorama...

it's coming along ok...

but I'm making some props to go inside the village...

I have this animal set LOJ004...from K&C...the Life of Jesus series...

I think they will go well with John's village...

so I made this little corral...no major feat in itself...but I think the idea lends well to the village...

John's new pieces...LEX03...the Scalping poles should work very well in the village also...I'm anxious to get them...

I'm going to use the Wm Brit set 17614...corn row stalks...for a small garden area...

and am going to make a "tanning area" on sticks in the ground with a hide stretched out on it out of an old chamois I have in the garage...

if anybody can think of any other props that I might could make...I would appreciate you input...

John promised a watchtower...I saw a picture of one on the Internet with it on the outside of the palisade...it should look nice...

of course I will have a pot over a fire hung from sticks...something like in the picture...

anybody got any suggestions...

I will have a river with a canoe and a canoe or two inside the compound area also...

any ideas...

Dogs, a Pet Black Bear, and a Black Smith Shop !!!

Actually for the fire pit and pot, I think Schleich has one for about 15 dollars. Not great, but might work. I saw it on Hobby Bunker the other night.

Best would be a set of the harvested corn stacks from William Britians, the brown mounds with pumpkins, not the green corn stalks which is also Britians.

I asked John about making a "dog set"...I see a lot of pictures of pioneers with dogs as companions...

I have my Rorke's Drift dog...I will use him...

I got a stalking wolf in winter fur from Aeroart for my snowshoes range.They have summer ones too.I got mine frm Monkey Depot.They have attacking ones too.

Hey Mike do a search for Jamestown settlement pictures you should find all kinds of ideas from the photos! Here is a link with a few pages of photos, its not the one I found before but its close. The other one I had found before had some really great photos with all kinds of great scenic ideas like this but I can,t remember what it was. These will at least give you an idea though. Try a web search.

They were $50 each.Monkey Depot still has the ones with the winter coat.

Take a look at britains 17614 CORN ROWS and17613 HARVESTED CORN
and SHEAVES of WHEAT and 17612 HAY STACKS and SHEAVES of WHEAT
they have some pumkins with them and a pitchfork with haystacks. I have
them all they are great pieces. I used some for my habitant farm and stacks
make good cover for indians sneaking in on farmers.
