Came across this old webpage (http://contecostore.com/spartans.html) which had a list of possible 2008 releases from conte in the spartan range.
Not expecting to ever see these but would be interesting to know if there were any images or sculpts showing what they would have looked like.
I have 95% of this range and very much liked the sound of those never released

I'm a big fan of the Conte Spartans and Persians. I emailed Conte about two years or so ago specifically about the sets you have listed. He said he was indeed going to produce them. But so much time has passed that you have to wonder if this is just another one of the things that Conte says is forthcoming but never produces. The list of such things is quite long unfortunately.
