Question about Berlin streets for my Fall of Berlin dio (1 Viewer)

What kind of streets were in Berlin during WW2? I need a mat for my Fall of Berlin dio and want to get an accurate as possible mat. I was looking at these two and was hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Both of those matts would be able to replicate street scenes in Berlin. Many parts of the capital had similar and still do have roads with those types of surface

I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere, and seen pics, that Hitler paved many of the roads. So asphalt would be acceptable also. I used asphalt for my LAH display.

New roads and streets were covered with asphalt, yes. Many existing streets were left alone, unless there was a specific development project that required changing them, and many, many city streets in German cities were paved with granite cobblestones.

Check your photographic sources, to be sure.
