Glad to here it went well for you Andy on your trip to Chicago. Looking at the Chicago Vietnam photos with the sampans , it appears to be a different figure to sampan set 2. I'm planning to purchase a sampan set but Brett is suggesting to hold off for he thinks that figure might be more in line with the Vietnam series. This is my Aussie diorama and it needs something in the foreground. By the way, great looking prize for Singapore. Regards Greg.

Great looking diorama Greg. The TG hut looks great in it. Missed it myself at the time of it's release but keeping my open for one, in the meantime will be working on making my own. Perhaps K&C will do some scenic items in the not too distant future for the range.

Keep up the good work. Yes a K&C Vietnamese style Sampan would be good to add to dioramas. Andy did say in this months dispatches to look out for more VC / NVA / Civilians releases in the coming months. Something to look forward to that will add enormously to displays I think.

Photos of Iconic Vietnam war equipment Wayne !

And ones that would make the range appeal to a lot of collectors than it already does with their roles in Vietnam war history as well as their appearances in Vietnam war movies.
Hopefully Andy's never say never will mean a Huey at some stage as it'd be popular !
I think the M113 is a future release. The smaller Patrol boats would do well also I think.

Perhaps as the range expands and if popular enough Andy will consider doing these and others.

As I may have wrote earlier the 2x Sampans I put into my big 'Citadel' Diorama were purchased at the Chicago Show. While not ready to produce more Sampans ourselves at this stage we will be releasing Vietnamese civilians in 2019.
At this juncture we are concentrating on 'Land Operations' rather than 'Naval'... however wait until you see our B52's!!!

Perhaps no copying of old figures for example No Mercy in the roman series, it diminishes the original one as a collector piece,

I thoroughly enjoy the new poses and look forward to November 2 piece action ones in the roman series which would also be great in the crusades series, 2 piece on single base crusader killing a saracen etc or other way around

How are you? Roger that I hear you on "copy of old figures" I get a little fatigued on seeing the same guy, but a different color tunic, robe or whatever, and I wholeheartedly agree with you on diminished value on the original pieces. Got plenty of stories or pieces I bought for a song knowing they were originals or one time issues. Case in point: paid $300 bills for KX John Wayne once only to see him re-issued the following year (or something like) when the John Ford series was released. Poof the originality was gone and I can't resell the guy with the disclaimer that says "wait, well this one was before the re-issue" no one is going to buy that line as they look the same! Matter of fact I was going to pull the trigger on purchasing the all IC soldiers once, but held off for whatever reason and some time went by and they came out in a different color. Its okay I guess, you win some and lose some, but I have receded in purchasing partly for that reason...repetition whiplash.

On the other hand, K&C's new Vietnam line is awesome and has peaked my interest. And speaking of interest Andy just dropped a bombshell of a teaser about a B-52. Man, that would be something! I know it is extremely hard for any manufacturer to make everyone happy, but I picked up on your frustration and all I can tell you is...that it is what is.

I have benefitted greatly from release of figures with a 'newer' or different paint scheme, plus I totally agree if people have missed out first time round then it allows people to be able to buy figures at reasonable prices. I particularly like the halftrack and the 10.5 cm artillery piece in grey, which was firstly produced for the Afrika Korps and the Medieval Warriors in different colour schemes. I would like to see the
6llb Desert Rats gun made for the Field of Battle range.
Pather Bergepanther now in Camo, but done for the battle of the Bulge range,

Morning Peiper007 ... my sentiments exactly. There are many figures that I lost out on, simply because of the release timing or available money. Other figures were released before my joining the hobby.

In particular, I would buy any "new" Iwo Jima series figures to go along with the all of my current USMC sets.
Missed out on the Ancient Egypt series, but would add those in a half-a-heart-beat ...^&grin

That said, I do understand and respect a manufacturers decision to retire a figure (or a series) but I will not support the doubling, tripling (more) of prices the instant it goes 'RETIRED'.

If you are looking for ways to invest your money then explore the Stock Market; Mutual Funds; CD's; 401K's; IRA's and more ... not toy soldiers!
