Hi Tony,

Have you started your e mail service yet,i sent my address a while ago but have not heard anything yet.Was just hoping i hadn't been missed. Also is there any news yet on the possible get together with Andy in London in december?

regards

Rob

Rob if you go to the get together with Andy make sure to ask about BRITISH PARAS.

I'll probably go dressed as one mate, just so he gets the hint!.

Rob

Still having a couple of issues re the e-mail service.

On the evening of the 2nd there is a newsletter due out in the next two weeks detailing it. Not only is Andy going to be there but i understand from Mike (just back from Chicago) that there is a few of the guys from over the pond going to be there.
*****STOP PRESS*****
Any body attending the evening of the 2nd will be the first to hear of a new K&C UK range, developed by K&C. We cannot divolge anything about the range yet (too many eyes and ears on this forum). Spaces will be limited on the evening which is at the royal National itself and tickets will include buffet, bar and free entry into a competion to win a Andy Neilson development drawing of our new range, signed by the man himself.

By all means call and book your places now but we will have details on our website after the newsletter has gone out for our members.

Also we have now had confirmed General George Patton and his staff with his command jeep will be at the Toy soldier Show during the day

regards

Tony

I know. I know. :D
But my lips are sealed!

Patton's going to be there? That's quite an achievement Tony. :)

Funny thing is James the guy coming to the Toy Soldier Show London his name really is George Patton (he changed it by depole) he has the gun the ring the dog you name it.:D

Tony

So Tony,

I know... I know what it is. It has to be BRITISH PARAS at Merville.
C'mon you have to give me marks for persistance. :D

James

Wouldn't that be a good thing.Let it be the paras and i'll never moan again, well almost never.Tony, can i ask how much the tickets are?.But if you like i can wait for the newsletter.

Rob

It would be perfect if it were British Paras made with todays K&C level of quality, what with Figarti's Pegasus Bridge release.

Spot on Louis.I don't much like the old Arnhem stuff (even though its sort after)because it doesn't match up realism wise to todays stuff. But todays K&C paras on that bridge, now theres a great match.

Careful Rob,

Don't want to exert that fragile heart...:D

But, pleeeeeeaaase can it be Brit Paras? And lots of 'em.

Simon

Would be just my luck,Andy announces British paras and i get a heart attack!!!

But lets start a campaign to get the best toy soldier company in the world to make us some Brit paras for merville/Arnhem.Come on Andy make it so!

Rob

Our Crusade is growing. Sooner or later Andy must notice us.

We're not asking for much. Just some paras at Merville or the Orne river.

Simon,It would be just my luck that as soon as Andy announces paras i drop from a heart attack!.

Easy you are right. This is a crusade for the Red Devils, wherever they may drop.I'm sure Andy will do them sooner or later,i suppose he has a long list of other stuff first. That figarti bridge sure would look good with some KC Paras.

Rob

I'm optimistic for 2007. I really am. I'm sure the paras could be squeezed into the release schedule somewhere.
My collection is definitely short of Brit paras. I've got K&C FJ's and K&C US Airborne but the Arnhem paras are out of my price range and also not quite up to the standards of the others.

Rob, do you have the 5 Britains paras from a few years back? They are really quite good and are well worth getting hold of.

James

James, yeah i think your right.I'm sure they could maybe be squeezed in next year.I just feel its the one range that a few people are waiting for and that Andy would do so much better than anyone else.I havn't bought the Britains paras as apart from NMA's mortar set i have so far only bought K&C,are they good.?Figartis paras look ok but not in same league as KC.

Rob

Sorry James i've just asked you if the Britains para's are good when you plainly stated they are good.My brains on holiday today!.

Rob

heh no problem. Yeah I quite like the Britains ones. There are 2 sets- a 3 man squad (with a great figure firing his sten, mouth open) and a 2 man vickers team though they are not firing it, just running along carrying the gun and tripod.
They aren't expensive, though the 3 man set may be harder to track down. I bought it from the London Toy Soldier Show earlier this year.
You'll probably find pictures of them easily enough but they definitely look better in real life.

Will have to keep an eye out for those.I love that London show,i'm normally there about 7am and spend hours making up my mind. This year i'm after three KC sets and i'm going to buy me one of those there HB winter Panthers.

A couple of years back i had a real good chat with Andy.So as he is going to be there this year i'm hoping for another chat with him.I find that he is very friendly and open to talk to.Thats another thing i like about KC UK,Mike,Tony and all the crew have always got time to talk to you about their product. If i get a vague idea of whats coming up and what might be retired it helps me with my buying strategy.I have found that some sellers once they have your money they just want you to move away from their table. So i will sure be asking Andy just for that tiny light at the end of the tunnel regarding UK paras.....you never know!.
