I just began to unpackage my new out of box AK 40 tank and noticed that directly under the short barrel there is a carriage that supports the barrel and goes back to the armor plate. On my piece in looking at it from the front on the right side under the barrel the carriage piece does not extend to the armor. The left side does. I thought possibly this piece was broken off but I cant see visibly that it was broken or no extra piece in the bag where it should have been when it was unpackaged. I would appreciate other members who have their piece to check theirs and advise me so I can return it if it is indeed damaged.

Thanks
Jake

Jake,

Mine is like that and that is the way the tank is designed.

The bracket under the barrel is an aerial deflector to push aside the aerial when the turret turned. It was attached to the RHS of the turret only but extended part way around to the left.
