I assume a few members are going. So how about some suggested questions for John:

How far does he intend to go with the Sudan?

Does he intend to do any red facings on the 47th at Quebec?

More French for Monongahela and Quebec (flag bearers!)?

A Bushy Run chant! Ok maybe that is not a question.

More French in Monongahela.
More dead/wounded in all ranges
More personalities and officers.

I will be going and will ask John for you. I have collected the Sudan sets and I would like to see this expand along similar lines to the WB range.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, stop there Mark  When you said "he" said something about Last of the Mohicans figures, are you talking about JJenkins himself? When I read Last of the Mohicans in the JJenkins forum, I think my heart fluttered :D

Yes,
I believe he said something about them in a email to Mike Miller.Mike correct me if I'm wrong.I don't want to put words in your mouth but I believe you said it in a post.
Mark

Will you please aske about the Jacobitan range , wil he continue with the Jacobites. Like to see personalities, drummers, and more footsoldiers. Even some canons to complete the batlle line.

Thanks:)

I think that movie analogy was used as John was referring to "The Captives" set...RSF-04...

I had asked it it was supposed to represent Susannah Johnson and her 14 year old sister...Miriam...

http://people.umass.edu/hist361n/assignments/Johnson Susannah.pdf

or

the Munro daughters from Last of the Mohicans...

his description of the set was...

"The two female captives depicted in this set could be sisters, from the family of a high ranking British officer?"

Susannah Johnson's husband became a Captain and of course Munro in the movie was a Colonel...

basically John said...they could be either and didn't go into detail on their inspiration.

Will do, so now we have............

How far does he intend to go with the Sudan

Does he intend to do any red facings on the 47th at Quebec

More French for Monongahela and Quebec (flag bearers!)

More dead/wounded in all ranges

More personalities and officers

More Battle on Snow Shoes

Last of the Mohicans figures.

Jacobean range - Like to see personalities, drummers, and more footsoldiers. Even some canons

Sorry Mike,I misunderstood.Foot in mouth again.

Jeff...if you're really going to be so accomodating for us and will really do this...

not to re-open a wish list...where it looks like this thread is heading...

but........hehehehehehehehe....

please try and pin John down and ask what specific figures he will be releasing in the upcoming months and when we might expect them on Culloden, St. Francis and 1812...

on 1812...ask what and when on...

promised artillery sets...
officers...
promised Indians...
Brits with pikes...

on Culloden...ask what and when on....

promised Dragoons...especially how many different ones he intends to release...please encourage at least 4-8 different poses...
promised pipers...
wounded or dead...
possibility of stone structure of walls of Culloden Park...
possibility and discussed French allied figures of Highlanders army...

on St. Francis...ask what and when on...

possiblity of more civilians Indians for village...
possibility of wounded or dead civilian Indians in village...
Rangers "on the prowl"..."entering or retreating"...
possibility of Indians and French in pursuit...
promised lookout tower...

and lastly please tell him that you don't want to see or hear of any of this talk about the end to Snow Shoes...go with it forever...:D

mostly...I want you to "bug" him tell he gets specific and gives you some definitive answers on what and when...which he probably won't...but might...:D

Mark...

you gave a good answer...

I wish I could do better but I don't want to look through all my emails for a verbatim quote...the gist of it was that he mentioned Last of the Mohicans cause in the email I told him that Doug assumed they were Munro's daughters, while I had previously asked for a captive set something similar to the Johnson family...we could use them either way he said...

the clues were just too similar....hehehehe...but I think Doug was probably right for John's interpretation of the figures...

again...either way...they work for both...

so you were right.

Mike,

I will add your requests to the list and print it off and let John fill it in! or take him to the bar and then "bug" him! :D

Jeff

Also ask him if he would consider a "skinning" or "tanning" piece for the Abenaki village...

possibly made of wooden sticks with the hide of an animal stretched taut...

he might be receptive to this idea...he makes really nice structures...

it would make a nice prop...

Jeff

"Bug him....bug him"....pin him down...John is somewhat reluctant to disclose whats on the horizon...

give us some definites on figures and dates....

a few warm Welsh ales might loosen his tongue a little...hehehehe....

John is too nice a guy to say "no" to just about any specific request. I'm sure just about anything we can think of is at least possible. Probably good to ask him some questions like when the next line will be announced; how many collectors club figures will be released each year. 2013 is the 250th anniversary of Bushy Run - does he ever consider kicking off a new line in conjunction with those types of anniversaries.
