Hi everyone, new here and not really a very knowledgeable collector, instead just someone who's happened to stumble upon a K&C collection. I wanted to know if anyone had any info on the RA004? Specifically if it was ever put out in winter camo? The one I have is definitely painted white, the riders though are still green. I'm confused and can't find much info on the RA04. Any help would be very much appreciated.

RA04 was one of the very early K&C models (1999??). The riders are in brown winter coats. Not a lot were made and they are probably worth $300.

Only about 10 were produced in white. Probably worth $600 if it is the original white and it's not a repaint.

Those values are just a guess as they don't come up for sale except on rare occasions

The colours look right, but there is no way I could tell if it is an original or someone has repainted it. I've never seen one.

Do you have the original box?

It was found in a white K&C box, Printed RA-04 Label on it, The "W" for winter was handwritten in with T-34 Tank. So, not much help there.

The riders were found separated and are here:

The RA04 lable looks correct. The T-34 was always in pen and the W looks like it was done with the same pen so it looks correct. The white box holdss the tank. The 2 figures came in a separate green box with RA04 written on it in black marker. Look around and see if you have that box too.

There was an RA04 Winter, but it is extraordinarily rare. Only 15 were made, and they were sold exclusively through the Toy Soldier Gallery. If yours is legit, it is worth a good bit more than Terry's estimate.{sm4}

The riders were separate but I definitely found them in a RA03 box
Can I just say thanks, again? I honestly did not expect anyone to respond.

RA03 is a 2 man add-on set in great coats. Maybe the boxes got mixed up?

It looks real to me. With only 10 made, if you decided you wanted to sell it, I'd say around $1,000, probably more.

I did find the actual RA03 2 man add on set in a RA03 box.
At first I thought I had 2 RA03's. Then realized the second box went with The RA04. My intent is to sell off the entire collection, and I've already been doing just that. I'm just a little wary of selling this piece until I know for certain it wasn't repainted.

If you compare it to the photo on toysoldiersusa.com, http://toysoldiersusa.com/cgi-local/show_detail.cgi?item_id=RA004W, they look the same to me. If you have further doubts, contact Andy Neilson at King & Country. I've been collecting K & C since 2004 and it looks real to me.

What else do you have that you plan to sell?

Brad

Thanks Brad,

I I've only touched about a third of it. So far I've encountered K&C, John Jenkins, Aeroart, Conte, Frontline & Britains, East India company. If there's anything you're interested in or a particular range of K&C you can pm me. If I haven't come across it and sold it already, I may have it.

If someone wants to complete their RA collection your holding that missing piece. Let's call Sotherby's...:smile2:

The item has been listed on eBay where it is now about $1,300. I suppose $2,000 is not out of the realm of possibility.

I did list it on eBay. I didn't want to turn this thread into a sales pitch so I didn't mention it. Thanks again for all the help.

I don't think there's anything wrong with asking people to identify a piece. Lots do it and it can be fun to do it. It's also part of giving back. People are always glad to help here. I'd probably ask in the General Toy Soldier section but that's not a criticism.

I noticed you you were selling a lot of SOHK. If you have any glossy non-SOHK, could you pm me. Thanks.
