Hey guys was wondering if any of the RAF/USAAF figures could be used as Dakota or Horsa Glider pilots?:)

Or are they only single fighter pilots, and know Horsa Glider pilots had to wear smocks and camo same as the paras, but just wondering if it would work?:)

To a certain extent there wasn't much difference in USAAF pilots' gear. The birdmen" were notorious for customizing their outfits. You are right that the British glider pilots were part of the Glider Pilot Reg't that was organized for ground combat. They did things like help secure the LZs. The US Army didn't seem to get that organized and the glider pilots were just surplus personnel who were supposed to be returned to the rear ASAP to be available for another mission. Both countries' glider pilots wore ground combat uniforms, although the British tended to look more like their fellow infantrymen and the US Army ones sometimes affected more aviation oriented uniforms.
