I mentioned that the HB Ramcke Fallshirmjager would make a nice Dio.

An impressive dio you have there Rick that certainly does show those HB figs to their best advantage, and I like the conversion of the K & C Normandy Kubel.

COOOOL!

Great work Rick. Love it. I agree with OzDigger, great KC conversions. Thise are some very special HB poses. I just got these sets Friday myself.

Rick,

That is a very nice dio.

I love the terrain, how it matches the bases of your figures.

The photography is sweet too,

Michael

how did you get them so early? I thought it's only at preorder stage and not available until May?

Looking at the guy sitting at the back of the kuble...

is that the radio guy from Rommel's Greif staff car?

if so, wow! that's a big investment to disassemble it since rommel's staff car is costing a lot on ebay nowadays

Figure placement is perfect and not just random figures on a base. Excellent diorama!

Hello Gents,
Thanks for the comments.

Jagdpanther - I made the base myself from a water based sculpting clay I got from Michaels. This is the first and last time I will used this type of clay. It was easy to mold and work with but cracked as it dried out. It turned out to be brittle and not very durable and I doubt it will survive my next move. I've made bases from Magic Sculpt (a two-part epoxy putty) in the past and have had good luck with it. It's a little harder to work with than clay but makes a bomb proof base that is difficult to break.

Oberstoskar - No, the sitting guy in the back of the Kubel is not the radioman from Rommel's Greif. My Radioman is safe and sound with Rommel. I bought the figure off Ebay from someone who was keeping the new K&C King Tiger but selling the figures. I also have the new King Tiger but my figures are staying with the tank.

Great job Rick! Looks fantastic, and really impressed with the way you've blended the figures in to the dio.

Thanks Ana. As soon as I opened the box of these well designed figures I knew that they would make a great diorama!

Rick,
Great Diorama...Have you tried using Durhams Water Putty for base work...Even Celluclay may be a good sub for the what you are using. Both of these items are used in making diorama by scale modelers...I have great luck with both...
