Ranks? (1 Viewer)

Maybe there should be a condition added for our controversial posts, that you get busted if you say something and people complain. Just like losing a couple of stripes, or getting KP.

Prost!

Brad,
And contrarian to that would be acts of bravery and upholding the honor of the Forum, which would give you a brevet rank, or instant promotion, but people would complain about that also.

There could be a medal award, Distinguished Writing Cross, Controversial Thread Medal, Grand Order of the Anorak etc.

Oh, I don't know, I done my share of angrying up people's blood, too :D Probably warrants Stubenarrest, confinement to the guard house for a a watch or two. Not such a bad place, sitting by the stove with a good pipe and a mug of beer...

Just post the word napoleon repeatedly and you may find yourself rising rapidly

Now, now that's not nice:( What about the word jazz or "Metallica"?

Speaking of which here's a good one on youtube: Wherever I Roam, Metallica with the San Francisco Symphony.

I used to listen to him in the late 60s and I see he's all the rage again but he's too dry for me but glad you like him. Try listening to some Metallica and you might like it. That link I posted is pretty good. How about this one of Enter Sandman. Everybody likes Enter Sandman and if this doesn't blow your socks off, nothing will. They are just wailing. The guy running in is Kirk Hammett, the lead guitarist. James Hetfield is the vocalist, playing rhythm.
