Bill:
Is there currently a toy soldier shop in Connecticut? I know that Arquebus was sold to a couple in Kansas. War & Pieces in West Hartford closed. Is there still a shop in Mystic and is it worth visiting? I have family in CT and do visit from time to time. I collect K&C Bulge and North Africa.

I am former CT native (Newington--home of the ARRL) now retired to New Hampshire. When I saw your 73 sign off I figured you were a Ham. I did a lot of SWLing as a boy in the late 50s early 60s.

Have you been to the hobby bunker in boston? Thats an incredible store and much closer to NH. Matt has just about everything in there.

Tim:

The Lt. has been trying to get me to check Hobby Bunker out. I have ordered some things by phone from them. I am curious about any store in CT since we go there to see our son.

Let's not forget George Guerriero (Minuteman Toy Soldiers), one of the best dealers around.

Randy the hobby bunker can,t be any more then an hours drive from you. I can,t believe you,ve never been there. You have to check that place out!!!
You,ll be like a kid in a candy store. Its a great experience to see all that stuff in one place in person.
Take a ride some weekend and check it out, you won,t regret it.
Me the Lt. and Modwalls hook up every once and a while and check out the store together and then grab lunch across the street afterwards and shoot the breeze for a bit. If we do it again you should try and join us but either way check it out. I believe it has to be the largest toy soldier store on the east coast and one of the biggest in the usa.

George is the MAN!!! but unfortunatly he dosn,t have a brick and morter store to see the stuff in person. I suggested the bunker as a nice trip to visit and have a great hands on visual experience but I get most of my stuff from George who is a supper great guy to deal with.

True, true, Tim. He doesn't have a store. I'll cancel that call to George, telling him you threw him under the bus:D

I,d never throw George under the bus!!! I have my own car and can run over him repetedly back and forth over and over again wich is much more fun!!!:p
George is my main call guy and always keeps me informed of whats coming next and always holds me my new napoleonics.

Hi Randy.
Possibly still a store in Mystic. I do most of my shopping with T-frog. I live over the hill in Wethersfield. Used to work part time at ARRL

Yes I know George. He has been gotten me Blitz and Battlefield miniatures. He is a true friend of the hobby. Yes I want to see a brick and mortar store since my K&C dealers are far away in Minnesota and California. I'm afraid that a real store with all those goodies would put me in the poorhouse. As a retiree I have to be careful and watch my pennies,

Randy
