Re-introduction of a Vintage Toy Solider collector (1 Viewer)

Johnny and Forum,

Here are my three bands. I don't actually have very many bands because they are hard to come by. Two of these sets are pre-WWII and the other is from the late 60s-70s. Also a few of my Musique themed figured by Mignot and Ballada.

As far as I know, Mignot never made a Dragoon band. They may make one now, but as far as I am concerned Mignot died in 1993, and the stuff they are doing now is just reproductions and plagiarisms.

Thank you Cole - your'e a gent!

Lovely to see such old figures that you have. Particularly like the "Long Drums" - which I have never seen before this close up. I also like the newer figures, oddly enough - they look so bright and cheerful.

I also like the larger figures in the cabinet - and feel that I know that figure in the red boots very well indeed.(top right). He was famous for those boots - and if you look at my modern attempt at him - you can see that I have given him red boots too. He was supposed to have led the Imperial Band throughout The Emperors reign. I suppose you know his name?

I only asked about the dragoons, as I am going to attempt some later on this year, and was going to add a few trumpeters and drummers. Not musicians, strictly speaking, but thought that if you had any such figures, they would be worth a look.

Thanks for this treat - I will definitely have a lot longer look at these again.
and again. They are wonderful. johnnybach

Great collection! Along with the weapons and uniforms it makes for a very impressive Man Cave!!:D
