Received 232s some pics (1 Viewer)

Some very nice pics of a cool model. I noted on the NMA website that their products are 1/30 scale but those K & C figures look over large to me as contempory pics indicate the 232 was a large armored car.

Has anyone measured NMA's 232 against the K & C version?

yes I measured it and its exactly the same size as K&C's version. I guess in some pictures the actual vehicles looks bigger becasue of the 'bedstead aerial' you sometimes see with it, which gave it its unpopular high silouhette. This would also tell you why they switched over to the 'Star shaped' aerial later on in the war.
Which Reminds me - Toricda where are your aerials? My 232 looks superb with them fitted - they really make the vehicle stand out from all the others I have. Top tip if your aerial sits a little wonky then put a small amount of 'blu tak' on the bottom of the your aerial and slide it in to its mount. Its sits perfectly straight then and you can remove it really easy for packing.
I noticed that your vehicles seem really clean but mine are quite dirty - then I looked at the K&C Tiger which also seems really clean so guess it must be the camera?
As for 'Thin Man' I didn't have him repainted I just had him executed for not eating enough Big Macs as ordered!

Steven, I used 8.5" bell reflectors clamped to chairs. 2 100watt daylight balanced bulbs. All purchased at Home Depot. By moving the lights in different postions this will give you more dramatic light effects. For the background I mainly use black or blue. In these images I'm using bristol board that I bought for .50cents each. White ends up looking grey. stay away from red orange or green too distracting.

For my camera, portrait mode, flash off, set to micro. I if I had to I did a little picture cropping, sharping and or brightness/ contrast adjusting in Adobes photo editor. Thats it nothing to it. I hope it helps you out.

Thanks rd, I guess the base under the figures makes them just that little bit taller but I'm sure we can live with that considering how hard this vehicle is to get in the 1/32 - 1/30 scale range. I'll get one of these NMA big boys as all I have at present are the 1/50 Solido and the 1/43 Criel versions.

I just put the NMA and the K&C side by side and they look size wise the same, however the NMA unit sits lower, I believe the wheels sit deeper in the wheel wells which give it the shorter profile.
All in all very acceptable with the exception of Lesure suit Larry.

Hi Blake, I'm looking forward to Saturday as George is bringing the desert and winter 232's over to the house, it will be my first my first up close look. Any updates on the Sturmtiger or any of the figure sets you have in the works? Keep up the good work, it nice to see other manufacturers doing different and unique vehicles.

The Sturmtigers and the German Paratroops are all produced and set to be here soon in the UK so not long to go on that front.
With regards to new releases we have something great in the pipeline that will be very popular. I can guarantee not many people are going to have one of these in their collection - keep watching this space as the brochure will hopefully be done this week or early next week. Mike won't give out any info on new releases from now on until we get to brochure stage and has threatened to kill me if I breathe a word!

I looked it up at 2.35m high so these must be big guys.

Blake, I received my desert 232 Saturday and it looks great, very nice job. It's really fits in well with K&C Afrika Korp (hope you take that as a compliment, that's how it is intended). Looking forward to seeing sturmtiger.

As atated-wonderful pictures. I am thinking about adding this piece to my "BULGE" diorama but am still looking for an actual picture of this variant in the Ardennes sector or similar. Just went through book #6 with no luck so far. Anyone seen this winter version in a picture somewhere during the winter of 44-45 somewhere in western Europe? Thanks!
