I received my Battle of the bulge Panther. I have been avoiding the bait of so MANY German tanks from all the makers.
but this one was the paint scheme, and stage in the war I'm most interested in.
The model is excellent, and all the small bits attach very well.
The only crew I has fit ok, but they sit a bit higher outside than I like.
This model represents a new tank, no wear or dirt at all. That was a surprise. My JJD Jagdpanther was painted to look as if in the field.
I wonder what criteria they use to decide on how to paint these? Cost?

At any rate, I recommend these models. they are researched well, and accurately. And you won't be disappointed.

Great review on the newest JJD Panther Tank, Medic! I personally declined to get this version, but have the two earlier JJD Panther releases as well as the First Legion Normandy Panther. John simply does a fantastic job in his models overall and his inclusion of the interior details, engine, and many working features is what elevates his armor models above the competition.

However, like you noted, some of John’s recent vehicles do seem a little under-weathered… I know there’s a debate in the model building community concerning just how weathered German AFVs got. Many model builders like to heavily weather their vehicles; yet during in the later stages of the war, it’s likely German AFVs didn’t last too long after they were first issued and deployed, so the vehicles didn’t have enough time to get as muddied and rusted up as some model builders (and toy soldier manufacturers) represent them.

Nevertheless, glad you enjoy your Panther 😃

Great pics I passed on this one having all the others but that plan is quickly changing after seeing these pics plus my "Kampfgruppe Peiper" wouldn't be complete without at least one Panther.

Would be great if you show a picture of your Kampfgruppe Peiper please
