I just received the new crashed ME-109 today. I can see why some wanted this made in a non-crashed version as well. The plane has a very attractive paint job for sure. It comes with a rock, which I guess is what bent up the prop. I am thinking of adding a hay bale in front of the plane. The wheels are fixed shut with one a little out from the flush position. The canopy is fixed in the open position. The display possibilities are wonderful for this piece! I think anyone who picks it up will be very happy they did. I was hoping to get a couple of photos on here tonight, but alas I spent my night visiting a relative in the hospital and helping my daughter finish her homework.

It turns out the rock is what you use to elevate the tail of the plane. Very nice effect. You can just see the rock on in the K&C catalog photos on this site.

Congrats! Can't wait to see your pictures.

I really hope the K&C consider releasing this plane in a non-crashed version.

I know K&C are sold out of this. Mine were all spoken for before they arrived so I recommend quick buying on this one if you do not already have it on order.

Dear Dan:

Glad you like your new "wounded" WW2 air plane model! K&C always comes up with interesting items.

You won't regret getting it!! With my interest in the Battle of Britain/RAF lines, I jumped on it the first day. I will set up a quick display and photograph it tonight.

I took a few quick photos of the crashed 109 tonight. If you are on the fence about this one, or just curious, I hope you get something out of the photos.

WOW! Diidn't realize this thing was riddled with bullet holes. It just jumped to the top of my list as a must have. Thanks for the pics.

More aircraft should be made with bullet holes and an optional prop/landing gear. Beats that right out of the factory look.

Wow - these close-up pictures are great. Really nice model.

No wonder they're soon sold out everywhere.

Good pictures. It looks very well painted and weathered. I think we may see more damaged aircraft in the near future

Guys, you lot are SUCH a bad influence!^&grin I was already in for all the figures that came with the ME109 but was not sure whether to buy this new ME or not because I have this dio;

But I've just seen 6th Wisconsin's excellent pics and I folded like the cheapest deck chair on the Titanic and reserved one with my supplier. It looks just brilliant, yes I know I'll now have two ME109 dios but I can live with that ^&grin:wink2: But I warn you all, I'm telling the wife you made me do it!:D

6TH Wisconsin this pic is really good, love the bullet holes in it^&cool

I bought the other new 109 and like it this one looks great as well.Nice shots thanks for posting.Mike B.

Glad to be of assistance Rob. I have had my share of bad influences on here!! Your other dio looks so great, but I know you will like the new plane. I realized while taking these photos that I really need to do more of it. I have been into photography a long time but never seem to find the time or desire to move all the pieces out for photos.

Thanks 6TH Wisconsin, your pics are of very good quality indeed, keep up the good work{bravo}}

Rob, I certainly understand you! Although I don't have a downed ME 109 dio, after seeing these photos, I'm grabbing one of them, which I would do even if I alredy had one like you...! It's a beautiful piece, a true must-have!

Oh Rob :rolleyes2: Such willpower {sm2}

At least I can blame Treefrog Forum for spurring my interest and collecting of K&C, and Louis Badolato for Figarti, HB and JJD AFVs. Who can you blame?? :D

I know , I know, I'm weak:redface2: .......but who cares I love it!!^&grin:D{bravo}} I'll just have to make sure the scene I put it in is different to my wheatfield version.

I normally blame Simon for things but I can't this time as he said I should settle for my version, but then he knows I'm weak too and was probably expecting it!^&grin Look at it though Terry, it's a smashing release from K&C^&cool
