Hi Guys,

Many thanks for the great welcome for our all – new “NORMANDY PANTHER” – for those interested it is the Panther Ausf. G model – used by 12th SS “Hitlerjugend” Division in Normandy and afterwards.

Also some “posters” wanted to know if we had any plans to do “regular” British “Waterloo” Infantry. Definitely yes! Either one of the British Guards Regiments (1st, 2nd or 3rd) or a standard Line Infantry Regt.

As for their headgear – I much prefer the “Belgic Shako” as opposed to the “Stovepipe” type. I plan on doing them to form a classic British Square.

Also we will add more French Infantry.

In the works already are 5 more French Cavalry – Chasseurs à Cheval and the much anticipated British Royal Horse Artillery (dismounted). Both for release later in 2006.

Finally, I do read and appreciate your comments about “Dead and Wounded” for your battle scenes. I will definitely reconsider this one in the light of all your comments.

By the way Jazzeum, I never “snort” when I’m awake only when I’m sleeping (and snoring).

Now, how did you find out I snort?

Best wishes and… happy collecting!

Andy C.

P.S. Am still hoping to produce a little piece of 8th Army Armour for the summer.

Now this was a great post from Andy for so many reasons! I have never collected napoleonics but love the sound of the british line regt in Square. So i will start collecting those as soon as.He is reconsidering dead and wounded, more good news. And on top of this we might get a bit of armour for my Eighth army this summer.K&C keep getting better and better. Now i've just got to break it to the wife that i will be collecting Napoleonics,so if you never read another post from me....you know what happened!

That's an interesting observation. Will Andy consider making a set of Dead and Wounded forum members?

Andy, you know I'm not one to kiss and tell:p

Thanks Andy for taking the time to answer some of our questions...I'm glad to here you will be doing regular British Troops especially with the Belgic (Waterloo) shakos!!!!!!! I'm also very happy to here about the British artillery!!!!!!!!! The French calvary sound nice and of course I will be buying them but I have to admit my french calvary is getting huge and my British have none to speak of!!!! Also....it's great that you will also be reconsidering dead and dying/injured troops. This is why KING AND COUNTRY excells above other companies....THEY LISTEN TO THEIR CUSTOMERS AND AT THE VERY LEAST OUR SUGGESTIONS ARE CONSIDERED AND OFTEN ACTED UPON!!!!!!!

Andy, even though your recent replies have not directly affected the stuff I collect, I just want to tell you that it is terrific how you watch the posts and respond as needed. This kind of two-way relationship is rare in this hobby. I always enjoy reading your comments about the business, about new projects and about our suggestions. I also appreciate your enjoyment about keeping some surprises to yourself until you're close to release. Thanks again.

Andy,

I have to say, the Panther is by far the best piece of polystone armor I have ever seen. The tracks are a huge improvement. The crew, as always, is fantastic. Also, while I have a very limited interest in the Napoleonic range, I am definitely purchasing the seated French Cavalry, table chairs, ladders and wheelbarrow sets. They look as alive as you or I. Really phenomenal work. Can't say enough.

Regards,

Louis

As Louis said, the figures looked as alive as real people.

I find that this is the main improvement in K&C production since I started collecting them.

As example, the movement in the sculting of the upcoming Barbarians is awesome and what about the rhythm in the upcoming Indians (BR52 & BR53) and pose in the BR51 which is, in my opinion, the best single figure made by K&C.

Pierre.

I think I'm going to have to steal those Brown Besses off his sadle....:)

WELLINGTON

I am right there with you Wellington. If I just had the money the Revelotionary sets would be next on my list. However Napoleonic, Desert War WWII, and a few Noramandy sets take all my money as is. Since I do not want to end up in a dead and wounded set from spending my daughter's college fund I think I will refrain. The Supreme Commmander must be obeyed.

Thanks Andy for the news and taking the time to respond.

Its great that Andy keeps to his own schedule and ideas and at the same time takes his customers opinions into consideration.I don't know of any other company who can strike this balance. The new Panther does look wonderful,i must admit to rushing my order in as soon as it appeared on the UK website.

I'm glad to see Andy may be reconsidering producing some "dead guys" in the future. Its especially good for diorama scenes because its more realistic to do so.

Someone suggested a few days ago to include them as part of regular set release. I agree.

Carlos

What about a set of mixed dead guys from both sides, they could call it the 'Dead Set' :)

Hay, along with the dead horses, maybe some heads, just heads. That way we can call them "dead heads". OK so it's not that funny but at least I'm trying. :p Michael

I'm sure we'd all be "grateful".
