My Normandy Hetzer was at the front door tonight! WOW! I didn't think it would be so heavy, but what a beauty!

As a matter of interest does the barrel on yours stay raised when positioned, mine wants to stay pointing towards the ground? Cheers, Robin.

I have the captured version and the barrel stays raised without a problem. ( a little bit of glue can fix that easily)
guy:)

Robin the barrel may need pushing in some more to change the centre of gravity. If you remove barrel and add some lubricant like WD40 oil, then insert barrel again it should solve your problem.
Alternatively some Blue Tak inserted under gun mantle will help barrel stay upright.
Best Wishes Tom

Not a problem Tom, great little tank, thanks for making it. Cheers, Robin.

I received the remainder of the Nap's that I did not have yet! They are proudly displayed in my Waterloo dio. I was even successful at getting them un-boxed and displayed; the boxes stashed and the packaging hidden before my wife got home!!!!!! She thinks I buy only about half of what I do!!

There is only one problem...............I need more and more and more.............

Ludwig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fancy having to hide stuff from the wife!!! my problem is stopping the wife from buying stuff for me as she buys or wants everything she looks at. she cares little for the price. she is already eyeing stuff from the disco K&C that she wants for my forthcoming birthday.

I have just seen some TG naps today and while they are not my interest in terms of collecting they look really nice and, good that collectors have a choice of companies to buy from.

I had to laugh. Read the post by Bayern to my wife she said it sounded like someone else she knows. I do the same thing. I don't have a dio so they're harder to hid on the shelf. Glad I'm not the only one. The TG WW1 figures are my favorite but the Naps do look very good.

Thanks for your post! I share Mitch's part that my wife buys many soldiers for me as well for all occasions throughout the year. She is a dear like that. She even quizzes me here and there to see if I remember which ones she has bought for me. But there is the eyes rolling back in her head syndrome that comes every time there is another package. It could not be that toy soldiers and military items have taken over our entire house and then some??...or could it....I must admit yes. She once had a business friend whom her and her husband were Jewish. She was afraid to invite them over...sheesh, I do not even have any WWII SS Wehrmacht in the common areas...go figure? Anyway, as she is my reason for being here:eek: I must admit.....

So I shall go on record.....I am addicted to toy soldiers.....{eek3}

We should start a Toy Soldiers Anonymous.

I have already passed the first step of the program....I recognize that I have a friggin problem OK!!! Now Thomas, make more soldiers!!!

I feel much better now!!

Hello Ludwig:

Ah yes, the old get the figures put on display before the wife gets home game plan! The bigger the displays or dioramas the harder it is for "the wife" to notice them, thus, a good reason to have big displays! On July 17, 2012 I added three sets / three figures to my still fairly new "Napoleon in Egypt" diorama and did not tell my wife who has not noticed to date. I do not feel too guilty as it is only three figures and I have recently sold many more than that recently on eBay with some more to be sold next week. When I do sell some say King & Country set that sells for a big profit I am sure to tell her about it so she can not say that I only sell for losses.

Gary, I still find myself kind of doing this but honestly here is the deal now. Since I have started the diorama building and have about four to five around the place at any one time, my wife has stopped complaining about them!! She even gets involved a little. She loves the part about the grand kids helping and learning the history now. It is not just clutter anymore to her. The more detailed the diorama the more she will like it!!

My hat is off to you Gordon, Rob, Mich, Guy, Waynepoo etc for motivating me with your great displays.

I really like the way that TG and KC figures compliment each other. Both great makers of finery!

Ludwig
