US 106mm RR mounts

US Airborne units in the early late 60's, early 70's had these mounted on M151 jeeps, as part of each companies weapons platoon, and were air droppable and used in both Mechanized and non-mechanized rifle companies as their main anti-Tank defenses. Unfortunately, they were very top heavy, and many, including one in my own unit, were easily tipped over or rolled rounding turns, so were rapidly replaced by the then new TOW missile launchers.

Interesting Pat. I think Recoiless Rifles in the British Army at that time period were the 120mm Wombats, Mobats and Conbats and were at Battalion level hence the Bat bit in all the names.
